Mohanad Eltahir, DPM, DABPM, AACFAS
Dr. Mohanad Eltahir, DPM, known to his patients as Dr. Mo Eltahir, is a distinguished surgeon specializing in foot, ankle, and lower leg procedures. He earned his BS in clinical laboratory science from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia before obtaining his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2013 from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Dr. Eltahir honed his skills at Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida, training under globally renowned faculty and treating prominent athletes, including the Miami Heat basketball team. He also completed a Fellowship in Lower Extremity Plastic Surgery at Marquis Plastic Surgery in 2017.
With a focus on complex reconstruction, cosmetic procedures, advanced wound care, and sports medicine, Dr. Eltahir is recognized for his innovative approach, blending plastic surgery techniques with foot surgery to optimize both aesthetics and functionality. His expertise extends to orthoplastics, an emerging field combining orthopedic and plastic surgery methods. He is a founding member and served as a board of director at the American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society. Patients with severe defects or chronic wounds may be great candidates for these limb salvage techniques saving them from a below or above the knee amputation.

Dr. Herrera has been training for innovated technique of used of External Fixation with fellowship in different specialized institutions that included Ilizarov Orthopedic Institute in Kurgan, Russia. He lectures in different countries on topics such as Trauma, Limb Salvage, Reconstructive Orthopedics deformity surgical techniques.
Dr. Herrera is a forefront of innovative and progressive surgical procedures that can effectively correct a variety of conditions using state-of-the-art implants and the latest techniques.
